The Lyles Ranch House was built in the 1920s and sits on a working cattle ranch in northern Archer County, about a mile south of Holliday, Texas. This spacious ranch house boasts four bedrooms (plus a study converted to a bedroom), two full baths, two half baths, a furnished kitchen, den, dining area, library, office, and game room. The entire house was remodeled and updated in the 1990s, but still retains so much of the early 1900s character that makes it so special to us. You can enjoy an evening on the front porch or by the fire pit watching jack rabbits, cottontails, road runners, lizards, hummingbirds, and the frequent passing of wild turkey (we're still talking about animals), not to mention numerous other bird species. If you're extremely laid back and quiet, there are ample opportunities to see feral hogs and their young, deer, bobcats, ducks, dove, quail and other beautiful wildlife. The sound of coyotes communicating through their yelps, howls and barks around sunset is sure to give you a bona-fide country-living experience during your stay at the ranch. Although we don't allow outside hunting on the property other than a few select dove hunts each season, we do offer a great opportunity to bird watch or nature walk on the ranch. The creek, stock tanks, and mesquite and other hardwood pasture provide a prime habitat for nature and wildlife to flourish. If you are interested in booking a hunt in the area, we have contact information for several hunting guides and outfitters. The ranch is a great place to stay for hunters, family gatherings or get-aways, ladies scrapbooking retreats, or any other reason to get out of the city. The Lyles Ranch House is an awesome opportunity to experience the country, but sits only a few minutes from civilization. The small rural town of Holliday is less than 5 minutes away and you can be in Wichita Falls in less than 15 minutes. Archer City, the county seat, is only a 20 minute drive to the south and provides lots of historical opportunities. Ranch-life disclosures: If you're looking for "Ritz-Carlton-style" accommodations, or you're worried about getting dust on your yuppie-mobile, you might should stay in the big city somewhere. Some weekends are busy for our community and although we try to keep our online calendar updated with correct rates, availability, pictures, etc., we'd rather be feeding cows and chasing pigs! My mom was a great host-you always felt welcomed at her home. There are two bedrooms (king and full size beds) with a queen size sleeper couch in the Living Room and two full bathrooms. Living Room and Dining Room and Sunroom are very open for a family get together. My mom loved her yard as much as she loved her house. So enjoy watching the Hummingbirds, Finches while sitting in the Sunroom. I have also seen Mississippi Kites in the neighborhood. Kitchen is fully furnished with washer and dryer in the kitchen area. There is a nice size dog pen in the back yard, along with a large back yard for children to enjoy. My house is just a few blocks from the Archer City Golf Course and a mile from downtown. Archer has a public swimming pool and putt putt golf.

It's over 3600 sf. This is my primary resident. I live here part time. I have 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom to share with guests. I also have two half baths to share. This house is located in a neighborhood of business owners and other professionals. It is walking distance to Midwestern State University. Five minutes from major shopping, restaurants and all hospitals. 10 minutes from Sheppard AFB.

Welcome to our 3 bedroom home located right across the street from Midwestern State University's campus! This location is perfect for any family members from out of town looking to come in and visit their family member who is attending the university! You will not even need to get into your car as the campus is right across the street! This house is also a great option for any other reason that may bring you to Wichita Falls! Being located right across the street from MSU means that you are centrally located in town. The house is a 3 bedroom home with two bathrooms. The master room comes equipped with a king bed and has its own attached bathroom with a stand up shower. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom both come with queen beds and share a common bathroom in the hall that has a tub/shower combo. There is plenty of parking behind the house in front of the garage with two additional carport style covered spots. This 2/2 lakefront cabin has a living/dining room, full kitchen, satellite TV, Hi-speed internet, and stacked washer/dryer. The large shaded stone patio has both propane and charcoal grills and a 4 person dining table and an 8 person picnic table. The living room offers large windows with amazing lake views. The dock is great for boating, fishing, sunbathing, floating, and swimming. We are located 20 minutes South of Graham, 90 minutes West of DFW, & 90 minutes East of Abilene. The kitchen, dining, and living area is an open concept space. The kitchen has a 13 ft island, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, stove, and oven. The living room has a large dining room table that will seat 10, pool/ping pong table, couch and loveseat, and TV with Dish Network & Netflix. The water is 25 - 30 feet deep off the dock and has bumpers and ties along the side to tie-down a boat. The shoreline off the patio is steep and rocky and is not suitable for small children. There are steps down to the water from the walkway. We have fed the fish (Catfish & Carp) for many years. They will come to the shore and walkway when you give them pieces of bread or dog food. You will also see a few hummingbirds that migrate to our cabin every year. Paddle Sport Rentals, LLC will delivery Paddle Boards and Kayaks to the cottage, let me know if you'd like to reserve some of these for your trip. Possum Kingdom Lake offers a variety of options for guests to rent boats and personal watercraft or hire a guide for a fishing trip. All of the options can be easily located from the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce website, and we recommend making any reservations prior to your arrival.
